Will I live to read the complete series?
I've been reading this series since the first book was published, and am beginning to wonder whether I'll live long enough to see how it ends. Although I love the characters and give Jordan 5 stars for creativity, it has become too unwieldly with too many characters and too many things going on. He needs to draw them all back together and bring this series to a conclusion. My attention span has been unusually long with this series -- there are several series by other authors which I finally gave up on. As for buying this set, if I didn't already have all of them in paperback, I would definitely invest.

For those who are looking for 1st edition hard cover copies of this amazing series, this is the best and most cost-effective way to find the books. Often sellers are short on book 2 or 3 in first edition and everyone wants the books to have the same style art on the covers! :) These books came on time, exactly as depicted in the picture. I would recommend to any enthusiast who wants to complete the collection. You can buy the later books separately.

the world of jordan
As yet another exciting continuation in the saga. I can't wait for the next, however things are getting a little drawn out. I can't imagine that the space of a year or two could take up more than eight or ten books. I want to find out how Rand straightens out his love problems. Get on with it already

An adventurous break from reality
I was involved in a motor cycle accident that put me in a bed for 2 months, and all I had to do was read. I have never been a fan of fantasy, because the stories were all simple and were not REAL enough. A friend of mine gave me the first book and at first I hesitated, but it would have been the worst mistake in my life if I had not read it. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series astonished me. I never thought I could find any book so captivating, and I have read a lot of books. He has brought the fantasy world a book that to my belief will never be surpassed. In the book several characters are pulled from their everyday live and thrown into the worst possible senario, in which they find out who they really are while trying to stay alive and seal the prison of the dark one. This story has so many twists and turns that it is almost impossible to believe. I found myself thinking that I was Rand and when that book was over wondering were his world ended and reality began. I feel as though I have been through all the hardships with them and they are all my friends. I do not want this story to end. After book 9 and 10 I hope that atleast he takes on another series, with the same characters so I don't have to loose all that I already have with Rand, Perrin, Matt, Egwenn, ect. Words cannot even begin to describe this wonderful story that you must read.

The very best books ever writen!
This series is so great, other books pale in comparison. If you are not an avid reader the task may be daunting. These books are large and very complex, but the great thing is they read so easy you forget your reading. I can't explain how great these books are. The characters and the story line are so deep and rich. Another thing I realy like about this story, is the fact that the women in these books are strong, dedicated, inteligent, influencial, powerful and just as capable as a man(if not more so), and don't just hide behind their male hero. The only downside to these books, is the need to read more. At this time there are 8 books in the series, and there should be only two left to go(from what I've heard). Jordan only releases a new book every couple of years. Even with the possible wait for the next books. I can say that it is definatley worth the wait. I just hope the world doesn't end before I finish the last book writen, and I get the chance to read it. After that, I'll be ready.

The Wheel of Time set ( all eight books)
I found the first book,"Eye of the World" at my local library and started reading. "Eye of the World" was so good, that I was up all night reading, I could not stop, I thirsted for the next book, "The Great Hunt." Very absorbing, could not put it down. My local library, had to send out for the next five books. I had to wait several weeks just to start on the next book, but when the book "Dragon Reborn" came in I didn't get much done except reading. Even though the books are thick, small print and heavy, even for paperback, the story line keeps you engrossed by the twists and turns and you feel transported into the book of magic, goodness, evil and unimaginable people, animals, and places. I cannot wait for BOOK 9. I keep checking everywhere to get the first rush orders for the next book in this eight book series that is so spellbinding.

Masterful!
Everyone always says that Tolkien rules fantasy! That he is the master of the genre! Blood and bloody ashes! I have read all walks of fantasy fiction, from Dragonlance to David Eddings to Jordan, and Tolkein has been surpassed several times since the early 80's. And why? Women! Where are the women in Tolkein? Well, Mr. Jordan, we wanted it, and you gave it to us! Women are by far the most dominant sex in this series, and that was a masterstroke of genius. Most women in fantasy tend to be swordsmen with curves, but Jordan has managed, as much as a guy could, to get into their minds and write from their point of view. One thing dear readers (sound off if you agree): possibly his best characterization is Nynaeve! How in the world can I HATE a women so much, yet want her to succeed? That is good writing! To have me hating her so much, yet rooting for her in her endeavors. And she doesn't even fall under the classification of an anti-hero! That is masterful! I have literally closed my book sharply and cursed the woman! Not bad for a character in a story!
